Important Information for the 2016 World Beef Expo!

Parking: There is not a parking fee on entry day but State Fair Park will be collecting parking fees on Friday- Sunday. The fee will be $6 for a single entry pass or $9 for a multiple entry daily pass.  The passes can be purchased at the gate. If you do not leave the grounds or arrive before the gate opens, you do not have to purchase a parking pass to post on your vehicle. Directions to State Fair Park are on our website.

Lodging: I have talked to both of our sponsor hotels and they have a few rooms available but they are filling up fast. Their contact information is on our website on the Expo Info page.

Health Requirements: Be sure to check out the health requirements for your state. The information is on our website.  If you are required to have health papers, they will be required at the check-in gate. You will need to provide a copy of the paperwork before the animals can be unloaded. Rules for Indiana have recently changed so be sure to check it out.

Schedule: The complete schedule of events is on our website on the Schedule tab.

Review Your Entries: Please take time to review your entries to make sure that your animals are placed in the correct class. Class information can be found on our website under the Open and Junior show tabs. Compare this information to the receipt that was emailed to you when you signed up. If you find any issues, please contact me at 920-479-0658 so that we can make changes.

Check-in/Stalling: The Check-in/Stalling gate will open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21 and all open show cattle need to be in place by Thursday, September 22 at 10 a.m.  All Junior Show cattle need to be in place by 11a.m. Saturday, September 24. The stalling gate will be open for late arrivals on Wednesday.

Breed Check-in:  Breed Check-in information is listed on our website. Listen for announcements for each breed so that you know when to check in. If you have animals for the Junior Show, they can be checked in at the same time as the open show cattle. Please review your entries to make sure they are in the correct class at check-in.

Entry Office: The entry office will open at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21 and will be open daily. The phone number is 920-479-0658.

Show Information: The preliminary show books, official show books and results will be posted as soon as they are available each day near the entry office.  You can also view these on our website as soon as they are available. We will announce on facebook as each breed’s show information is available.

Additional Entries: We are still accepting entries for the open and junior show so you still have time to add an additional entry to bring to the show. If you want to pay by check or cash, just enter your entries in your account and print a list of your pending entries and bring it to the entry office with your payment. We can down load your entries and give you a receipt and it will save you lots of time because you will not have to enter the information in at the office.

2016 Rules and Regulations: Please be sure to review the 2016 rules and regulations for other important information.  The rules and regulations can be found on our website on the open or junior show page.

Sale: The Showcase Sale catalog is now available on our website on the Sale tab. Be sure to check out the special watercolor  auction item compliments of artist C.J. Brown that will be auctioned at the Showcase Sale. The Showcase Sale will be broadcast on the internet at DVAuction.com

Silent Auction: We also are still accepting donations for the Silent Auction. Promote your farm/business and help us raise funds to continue to support the Expo. Please let me know you are bringing an item so that you can be listed as a donor on our website. Your support will be appreciated.

Other Events: The tradeshow will be held in the Wisconsin Products Pavilion.  The Exhibitor Dinner will be held on Thursday night and we have a great line up of educational opportunities on Friday. All youth are invited to participate in the showmanship competition on Friday night and the youth sweepstakes is back on Saturday with a great line up of activities including live judging.  Visit our website for more details and to see the complete line up of activities for the 2016 World Beef Expo.

Sponsors: Please take time to view our sponsor page and be sure to thank the sponsors because World Beef Expo would not be possible without them. We appreciate the part they play in making the World Beef Expo a great event!

Volunteers Needed: If you have free time and would like to volunteer to help with check-in, stalling, parking, taking photos, working in the ring, and a variety of other tasks, please let us know. World Beef Expo depends on volunteers to make our show run smoothly and we could use your help.

We will post future updates on our website and on facebook.  Visit our website at www.worldbeefexpo.com  for more information. Feel free to call me at 920-479-0658 if you have any questions
