PROGRAM FOUNDER

  Welcome to the Outdoor Family Adventures of South Alabama organization.  I am excited  to share this outdoor educational program  I have formed for  families in South Alabama.

After  the loss of our  youngest son we realized as a family we needed to be out of  our home . I started scheduling outdoor events for my family and sharing the events with our homeschool community.  We  loved the educational hands on learning we were able to do  while  seeing creation up close and personal. The experience of being outdoors with my family  was such a calming and renewing blessing and I want to offer that same peace to other families. I saw the opportunity to teach families the need to be great stewards over our environment  and actively protect it here in south Alabama.

  We host outdoor hands on learning activities and adventures along the coast between Florida and Mississippi. Please think about  joining our program or even sponsoring an event so that others can be reached and experience God's greatest creation  NATURE.  We want families to enjoy being outdoors together having fun and learning new things at the same time.

I have served in the following positions :

Bay Minette Beautification Board

Secretary of  Bay Minette Civic Club

Senior  member of the Civil Air Patrol

Representative of my district in the safe neighborhood program

Vice-President of  Bay Miinette Citizen's Police Academy Alumni

Director of the Children's Ministry of First Baptist Church North Mobile (under pastor Mark Messick)

Fieldtrip coordinator for the largest homeschool group in Baldwin County (LakeForest Homeschool)

I want to instill a servants heart in my own children and the students in our Youth ambassador program. Inspire others to fill needs in their own communities. 

   ** As the environmental educator for our organization I encourage all participants to attend wildlife workshops around our coastline. We have many opportunities to learn about volunteering . Some of the programs available are :

 Sea turle nest studies

 Growing oyster gardens

 Actively protecting our waterways

 Conservation of the wildlife around us
