Our Youth Ambassadors were able to meet the Baldwin  County Commissioners to highlight past events and activities they attended while in The Outdoor Family Adventures program. They  shared our ONE YEAR anniversary  with the students !!  September   2010

Talent Tuesdays'  Journalism Class November 2009

.

Our ambassadors class was taught by a Baldwin County newspaper  reporter that shares her 23 years experience in journalism and graphic design. The students recieved a wealth of knowledge on the collection of information needed to form a story or press release. Our reporter was so excited by the students desire to learn more that she intends to work closely with our students and will be in  our  future classes held by the ambassadors.

The student  ambassadors attended a Junior Master Garden  workshop. They learned of some great crafts to use during our upcoming booth exhibits. These are so cute and they had a fun time making them.

Talent Tuesdays'  Journalism Class January 2010

The Baldwin Times editor came to share how  graphics play an important role in news stories placed in our newspapers and magazines.

Our ambassadors with Baldwin Times editor Scott Latta

Scott Latta is a  graduate of the University of Alabama currently the editor of the Baldwin Times newspaper. He is a native of Birmingham and holds a degree in journalism. He is a well known  featured writer and editor for multiple publications and outlets. His work has been printed in national publications and he has been featured as a guest on nationally syndicated radio programming.

 

 Our Youth Ambassadors were able to meet the Baldwin  County Commissioners and introduce the Outdoor Family Adventures of  South Alabama l3c Organization while explaining  what they do in the program  October 2009.
