Part-Time Deputy Treasurer - Town of Oconomowoc

Position Objectives:

The Town of Oconomowoc is seeking an individual to work approximately 16-20 hours per week in the Clerk’s Office, with hours increasing during election and property collection time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties will consist of working with the planner/clerk and preparing packets and documents for the town board and plan commission meetings and attending Town Board and Plan Commission meetings to take the minutes in the Clerk’s absence.

Other duties include helping with elections; assisting with maintaining the records management and filing of all documents; answering phones and customer service at the counter, accounts payable, accounts receivable and sewer billing.

Minimum Requirements:

The individual must have some experience in taking minutes and general business management practices and procedures.

The days of the week worked will be flexible but will be decided by the Clerk-Treasurer.


Rate of pay will be based on experience and knowledge of the job duties; Knowledge of elections is very desirable.

Election Workers
The Town is always interested in additional election workers (or poll workers). Election workers are needed to efficiently run every election of the Town. Paid training is provided. Poll workers are needed for each election.   Election workers are appointed for two year terms, in December of odd-numbered years. Additional election workers can be appointed mid-term, as needed. If you are interested in serving as an election worker, please contact the Clerk/Treasurer.
